Who is a licensed used-oil recycler?
A licensed recycler holds hazardous-waste authorisation and, under used-oil EPR, appears on the official recycler list used for credit generation. Cash buyers with a tanker and no papers are not licensed recyclers.
Ask for authorisation documents before the first pickup. Keep copies with your workshop EHS file.

Authorised service stations, multi-brand garages, bus and truck depots, construction equipment yards, and factories with large diesel fleets generate the most used engine oil.
Practical storage before sale
Use dedicated drums. Do not mix oil with water, solvent, or cooking oil. Keep a simple log: date, vehicle or machine, litres drained. Mixed contamination is the main reason recyclers cut price or reject a lot.
