FSSAI RUCO Enforcement: What Happens If You Dump Used Oil

FSSAI can act under the Food Safety Act if spent oil re-enters food or if required disposal records are missing. RUCO is the prescribed exit. Informal dumping is not a grey area.

What Indian food businesses risk if they reuse oil past TPC limits or sell UCO outside RUCO. Practical enforcement picture, not scare copy.

What officers look for

TPC discipline, 50 litres/day logs where applicable, and a named authorised collector. Surprise visits still happen around fried-food clusters.

Aggregator-side offences

FSSAI has warned that UCO collected under RUCO must not return to the food chain. An aggregator who resells to FBOs can lose enrolment and face prosecution.

Your defence file

Marketplace invoices plus RUCO app entries. That is stronger than a cash voucher with a nickname.

Fix it this month

Stop unnamed collectors. List UCO on BioTradX. Align the kitchen SOP with TPC 25 percent.
